Elder Law – Elder law encompasses traditional estate planning plus planning for the transition to assisted living or nursing home facilities. The prospect of substantial nursing home expenses requires special planning to pass assets to loved ones or expend them productively without delaying eligibility for public medical assistance. For an incapacitated person who does not have an adequate power of attorney, I can assist the family in having the court appoint a guardian of the person to make decisions about personal and medical care and a guardian of the estate to manage the person’s finances.

Employment Law – My employment law practice encompasses the representation of individuals and businesses in a wide range of employment-related matters including equal opportunity issues, sexual harassment, employment discrimination (race, gender, national origin, religion, age, and ADA), and other workplace issues. I have more than 10 years of experience litigating employment law matters.

Estate Planning – Estate administration involves more than just transferring assets and paying inheritance taxes. It also involves helping loved ones cope with their loss, assisting them in managing their assets, and formulating a family settlement agreement to minimize the cost of estate administration.
